In this role, you will be a member our rapidly growing Project Controls team. The controls team's standard is to 'manage each project like we own it'. We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Controls Engineer based on-site with one of our prominent clients in the Pharmaceutical sector and located in Vacaville, CA. Ideal candidates will have experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing Project Controls team in the Bay Area. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and adhere to Project Controls Plan.
  • Develop and maintain project cost in accordance to control accounts guidelines.
  • Provide project cost data and supporting documentation within the projects controls systems of record. Perform reconciliation of cost data from local accounting system (SAP) to the projects controls system of record. Provide actual cost data from local accounting system (SAP).
  • Support the Project controls Manager on all levels of cost reporting and forecasting and on all levels of negotiation and validation of GMP contracts and change order in conjunction with Procurement.
  • Develop reports on actuals, variances, trends and re-forecast as necessary. 
  • Ensures proper Change management throughout the project phases.
  • Develop and maintain detailed Cash flow and Commitment flow throughout the project phases Assist the Project team in preparing and managing Credit Applications throughout the funding phases.
  • Participate in the value engineering process.
  • Keep and effectively utilize historical records of project costs.
  • Analyze change orders for cost impact.
  • Perform bid cost comparisons for proposal review teams.
  • Provide costs and schedule impacts associated with risks that have been identified for a project.
  • Review and validate contractual compliance of project invoices.
  • Develop, maintain and track master Schedule in P6 in according to the WBS Guidelines. Integrate vendor schedules into master schedule.  Ensure sufficient level of detail, resource loading as well as appropriate earned value analysis.
  • Schedule analysis with respect to Critical path analysis, Float analysis and propose mitigation plans.
  • Develop Customize schedule reports as per project needs (two week look ahead, variance reports, progress reports , milestone reports as needed)

 

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering /construction management or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years with capital project management experience. Bio Pharmaceutical experience is an advantage.
  • Certification in Cost Control CCC/CCE or Scheduling PSP is preferred.
  • Experience in Cost Reporting, Change Management, Estimating, and Project Costing is required.
  • Proficiency with SAP and Primavera P6 is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
