    In this role, you will be a member our rapidly growing Program & Project Management team. The PM team's standard is to 'manage each project like we own it'.     We are currently looking for a Themed Entertainment Ride Project Manager to work within our Themed Entertainment sector in the Santa Clara area. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, development and management of the project according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Ride Manager is responsible for overall planning of resources, project organization, scheduling, contract administration and day-to-day coordination of the project, including coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to bring the project on time and on budget.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide overall planning of resources, project organization, contract administration and the day-to-day coordination of all rides and/or rides systems for the assigned project components or areas.
    • Direct and manage the project, from design, fabrication, installation and testing and commissioning scopes for multiple rides.
    • Prepare project plans, shop drawings and associated communications documents.
    • Produce weekly reports updating team members, stakeholders and contractors in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate with project stakeholders, such as general contractor, overall project management team and client, on an ongoing basis.
    • Review potential budget changes based on project circumstances, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
    • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
    • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
    • Track project schedule, milestones and deliverables.
    • Conducts ride vendor shop visits / inspections to verify quality and production progress. Review Factory Acceptance testing (FAT).
    • Manages commissioning and testing of all ride and ride component/control systems.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum five (5) years' direct work experience in a project management capacity, with at least three (3) years' in projects of similar size/scope. Relevant theme park experience required.
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience at a manager position or above level in major theme park amusement ride maintenance is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of rides, control systems, rides construction and installation methodology is required
    • Good working knowledge of workplace safety.
    • Ability to read architectural and technical drawings.
    • Technically competent with various software programs, such as Excel, Word, Acrobat, etc. Primavera or MS Project knowledge a plus. 
    • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
    • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
    • Ability to relocate and/or travel is required.
