    In this role, you will be a member of our diverse Group Services team which houses Human Resources, Accounting/Finance, Marketing, Business Development, Information Technology, and Administration.     Cumming is currently seeking a Proposal Manager to manage the development and submission of proposals for our Northern California and Pacific Northwest regions, with an emphasis on the San Francisco Bay Area. Reporting to the Director of Communications, this position will be based in our San Francisco office and will be a member of the company’s corporate marketing team.     Responsibilities

    The Proposal Manager position is a vital one for the company. It is also one of Cumming’s most visible roles. The ideal candidate for this position will possess common sense and intelligence, get along well with others, be an excellent writer and editor, possess efficient work habits, be experienced in Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign, excel in managing multiple projects and deadlines concurrently, and be a dependable self-manager. This position does not currently have any direct reports, but that may change in the future as needs evolve, so management and leadership experience is desired. Your duties as Proposal Manager will include, but are not limited to: 

    • Reading, understanding, and communicating RFP content
    • Leading kickoff calls and assigning responsibilities and deadlines
    • Writing and editing both technical and promotional material
    • Working with team members across the company to develop required proposal information
    • Reviewing proposals at every stage of the development process to ensure they meet all RFP/Q requirements, as well as all internal standards for writing, presentation, and overall quality
    • Maintaining detailed proposal records
    • Assisting in preparing interview materials
    • Participating in proposal debriefs and seeking continuous improvement

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree that is relevant to this position
    • At least 3 years of proposal coordination or management experience
    • Experience working 75+ proposals per year
    • Experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry
