    In this role, you will be a member our rapidly growing Program & Project Management team. The PM team's standard is to 'manage each project like we own it'.     We are currently looking for an Environmental Compliance Manager in the Los Angeles, CA area. This position will have you working closely with the client on a daily basis.     Responsibilities

     

    • Prepare and conduct EMS Planning – Guidelines for identification and updating of environmental aspects/impacts, objectives and targets, organizational chart and responsibilities, guidelines for revisions and improvements of EMS in accordance with the ISO 14001:2015 standard.
    • Plan and prepare for annual internal EMS audit, EMS audit reporting, ISO 14001 auditing checklist overview, EMS audit opening and closing meeting organization. Implement EMS Action Plan – both facility-specific and agency-wide Action Plan development, environmental aspect/impact analysis, targets and objectives.
    • Research and recommend environmental compliance requirements for federal, state, and local regulations associated with operations and construction.
    • Train personnel in EMS general awareness and environmental requirements as necessary.
    • Maintain EMS by Implementation and Operation – management representatives, responsibility and structure, communication, documentation, emergency preparedness and response.
    • Maintain EMS Checking and Corrective Action – monitoring and measurement procedures, track performance, compliance obligations, procedures for non-conformance and corrective and preventive action, and record retention.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree – Environmental Planning or Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years' in environmental compliance experience related to air quality, storm water, hazardous waste, and tanks.
    • Minimum of 3 years' in mid to senior-level EMS experience.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the development and implementation of EMS program, including electronic record keeping and management of documents and records.
    • Experience with sustainability data collection, analysis, monitoring and reporting.
    • Knowledge of green building, environmentally preferable procurement, greenhouse gas management, and life-cycle cost analysis.
    • Ability to successfully coordinate and communicate effectively with the client and stakeholders in various departments to maintain the current EMS and implement new activities and processes.
    • Extremely high attention to detail.
    • ISO 14001: 2015 Lead Auditor Certification highly desirable.
