    We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to be located in the Southwest region of Los Angeles County. This position will specifically support K-12 construction projects within a bond funded program. The education team is a prime consultant to the largest school districts in the country and provides services to K-12 as well as higher education institutions nationally. You will be teaming with project, program, and client leadership to provide premier educational facilities for our nation’s youth and adults seeking to better themselves through learning.

    Responsibilities

    • Resolves complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements
    • Reviews status and overall construction project progress relative to submitted construction schedules
    • Reviews change orders from all construction projects and assesses their impact on the District
    • Assesses bid specifications for District need and probability of completion under stated time line
    • Reviews status and monitors variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting
    • Reviews and verifies submitted applications for payment and performs overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects
    • Provides functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control
    • Reviews and monitors overall administration of contracts for the architect and related consultants
    • Reviews and takes recommended actions in resolving disputes relative to construction projects
    • Develops and recommends internal policies and procedures
    • Provides managerial and construction oversight
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related field highly preferred.
    • Minimum 10 years experience in project management, with a focus on education projects as an Owners Representative or in a consultancy capacity preferred.
    • AIA, LEED, PMP, CCM or other related accreditations a plus.
    • Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
    • Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
    • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes or similar
